In 1999 NSE invested in excess of US$100 million in the upgrade of their IT division, expanding the eCommerce division capabilities. NSE has in excess of 50 Ph.D. Research Scientists on staff (including Nobel Prize Winner Dr Carl Djerassi) specializing in all areas of human health, together with affiliations with scientists from many universities.
